Unlike the last NSP2 program that was offering up to $200K to be used towards down-payment, the amended program is offering up to $97,000 silent second which is still nothing to sneeze at! Up to $97,000 used as part of your down-payment! Qualifying buyers need only come up with a minimum of 1% down of their own funds.
Long Beach's NSP2 program requirements:
1) First time buyer cannot have been named on title of any real estate property within the last 3 years.
2) Home buyers must bring in 1% minimum of their own down payment funds.
3) Home must be owner-occupied by buyer(s)
4) First Time Home Buyer must take a mandatory 8 hour HUD class
5) Income limits per household do apply
